Insomnia

In “Notes to Self”, Avery Sawyer mentioned “I think insomnia is a sign that a person is interesting.”. That is true for people who just have this symptom for a few days; but if they suffer from it for a long chronic of time, it will not be interesting any more. Insomnia is caused by many simple reasons, such as: overthinking, stress, pains, or love. Consequently, insomnia can lead you to a series of new “experiences”, for instance: headache, concentration reduction, bad psychological and physical effects.
Suffering from insomnia can be a serious problem because it can “guide” you to many intense situations. Headaches, lack of memory and concentration are some bad “prizes” that having lack of sleep gives you. Besides of that, having physical pains, feeling tired and powerless also occur to people who have insomnia. Nevertheless, hallucination also takes a role in this sleepless action. As the result, people who suffer from this symptom usually feel tired, bored, and sleepy.
Once having such a bad mood by feeling ineffective, your productivity is affected. Since losing your quality of work, you are more likely to stress out and start doing nothing. This is the first stage of depression. Whenever someone has depression, they are in a really serious trouble. Depression can be treated, but first it will bother people who have it for a while. To demonstrate this, people who have depression commonly feel hopeless, worthless, and maybe meaningless to this world.
To face with these serious symptoms, people should treat it from the base of this illness—insomnia. Sleeping pills can help someone who has trouble of sleeping, but it will give him or her some side effects when he or she uses it for a long period of time. Besides taking medications, people are using herbal teas, or alternative treatment to improve their abilities to sleep. Considering having an appointment with a doctor is also a good idea. Psychologists’ offices are also a good place to visit.
Overthinking, stress, pains, or love can cause insomnia which leads to many serious affects. This is why insomnia is awful, so do not make it worse. To improve your sleeping habits, you should try both conventional and alternative medicines. For me, taking some classes in the morning can build up my motivation. You also need to see a doctor or a psychologist to find out the root of your symptoms.

The Negative Circle

Life is full of surprises for people who appreciate it, and believe in it. Even though life is beautiful, but there are people still losing their interests in it. To those people, feelings restrained about their future can make them realized that there is no other way to make their life better. Because of feeling so powerless, they start doing nothing. As the result, guiltiness is formed inside them. Since they feel guilty, a series of panicking thoughts about their future appears. In consequence is feeling powerless. It is a closed circuit. To get out of this awful routine, people should have put their thoughts into actions.
Breaking this circle is possible, but it is challenging. To break this “negative habits”, people should put their thoughts into actions. The more responsible actions you do the less negative feelings you have. By coping new things and acting more in their life, people can gain their interests back. They will feel less guilty or won’t if they catch an opportunity and do not let it pass by. The positive future is beginning to smile at them. As the result, feeling powerless and panicking about their future are no longer exist.
For example, a college student has a “F” in the first Physics’’ test. By trying to study more and figuring what is he or she missing, this student can get a better score in the next test. Since stepping up and facing the problem, the student is getting better grades in the end of the year. But, let’s imagine if the same student cannot face the same situation. This student will get into a worse case by thinking negatively. Because of thinking negatively, this student will not learn anything from the subject. After that, all the fears will make him or her felt powerless, and the student will start doing nothing. That’s make this student entered the horrible circle.
In the end, this negative circle may happen to everyone. Whenever someone faces it, they should put their thoughts into actions. Sitting inside and doing nothing only make the situation worse.
